What is Ipamorelin?
Ipamorelin (Ipamorelin) is a research compound studied in longevity & anti-aging. A selective GHRP. Triggers GH release without elevating cortisol, prolactin, or aldosterone — the cleanest ghrelin-mimetic pharmacology available.
Overview
Ipamorelin is the most selective growth-hormone-releasing peptide developed. Unlike earlier GHRPs (GHRP-2, GHRP-6), it activates the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) to trigger GH release without the off-target cortisol, prolactin, or aldosterone spike that complicates the interpretation of GHRP data. Why selectivity matters in research: A peptide that elevates cortisol + GH simultaneously is useless for studying GH-specific effects because you can’t isolate the variable. Ipamorelin’s clean profile lets researchers attribute downstream changes to GH release alone. IF the research question is endogenous GH pulsatility with minimal confounders, THEN Ipamorelin is the GHRP with the most defensible selectivity profile. SO it’s the default choice when pairing a GHRP with a GHRH analog (CJC-1295) in GH-axis research. Batch-verified ≥99% purity.
Research areas
Receptor selectivity

Selective GHS-R1a agonist. Unlike GHRP-2/6, it does not stimulate the HPA axis or lactotrophs — no cortisol, prolactin, or ACTH elevation in published human trials.

Pairing with GHRH

Standard research pairing is Ipamorelin + CJC-1295: parallel activation of two independent pituitary pathways produces additive GH release.

GH pulse fidelity

Preserves natural diurnal GH rhythm — important because tonic GH exposure desensitizes the GH receptor while pulsatile exposure does not.

Administration

Subcutaneous injection, typically 200–300 μg per dose in rodent research. Use reconstituted solution within 30 days at 2–8°C.
